About Us
Hello, I'm Valerie. I am a University Design lecturer working remotely online. My daughter, Ornella, and I write scripts together as she is a young film director.
We have been caring for peoples homes, and pets for over 5 years. Our experience is extensive and we have sat dogs, cats, horses, chickens, rabbits, mice, doves, rehabilitating hedgehogs and many more.
We constantly receive 5-star reviews as we care for your animals as our own. We were given the nickname 'The Fun Aunties', and we absolutely love it. We stay in contact during our sits, making sure to send daily photos and updates of your furry loved ones.
We stay active outdoors, and since both of us are working remotely, we can fit our days around your pet's schedule.

"I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to care for my dog and my home. She probably had a better time than when I’m at home 😂. They sent me pictures daily, took her out on countless walks, cuddled her and loved her as if she was their own. They kept me place cleans and tidy. During the Los Angeles fires they took my baby down to Orange County to escape from the smoke. I’m super grateful and definitely recommend."

"We have a varied menagerie including dogs, cats (domestic and semi-feral, and horses). We can absolutely recommend Val and Ornella! The doggos had a whale of a time - it was a holiday for them as well! They took great care of them and our elderly house cat giving us updates each day and they had such fun! The ferals were fed daily and they also were kind enough to do the late checks on the horses whilst we were away as well. The house was lovely and clean and tidy when we got back and we would 100% recommend. We’ll be shortly booking our 2024 holidays and are keeping our fingers crossed that we can book Val and Ornella in for next year too!."

"The Fun Aunties are the absolute dream team! I almost don’t want leave a cracking review as I’d actually like them to move in with me !! Val & Ornella are such great company, were amazingly patient with our bi-polar spaniel & even came to meet the dogs a couple of times before the actual sit. During their stay we received so many photos, videos and updates as to how our girls were doing, they were walked, taken to dog agility parks, Sprite who loves balls was in heaven, Daphne loved the cuddles. The house was immaculate when we returned, sheets in the washing machine, they even bought eggs and bread for our return 5 ⭐️’s isn’t really enough"

"From the moment they arrived to after they’d left Val’s and Ornella’s first thoughts were for Minne (my dog). They clearly love dogs and care deeply about their welfare. They formed an instant bond with Minne who, likewise, adored them from the start, I was able to leave feeling confident that she would have a week of love and fun. It really says something when you come back from a great holiday and spend more time drooling over the photos and videos your dog-sitters sent while you were away than over your own holiday snaps. And to cap it all, Minne will now lie down: the Minne-ladies, as we call them, succeeded in one week where we’d failed for three years. The only reason I’d hesitate to recommend them to others is that it might make them too booked-up to come back to us. Thank you, ladies, and do please come again!"
